This is the third electronic and twenty-fourth print edition of George Mason University’s Factbook. Its purpose is to provide accurate and timely information about significant aspects of the university and its operations. The data presented in this Factbook include the most current available for 1997-98 as well as pertinent historical information. Changes to this edition of the Factbook include peer comparisons and information regarding non-degree seeking students. Most of the information contained in the Factbook is extracted from administrative reports produced on an annual basis by various university offices.
